I got the lift assembly for the 2210 for the 54C mmm. The JD455 54" deck readily bolted right up to the rear lifts...BUT..the front "yoke" from the 455 wasn't compatible. I ordered the yoke for the 2210, which is not included in the lift attachment kit. There's no question that this deck will work on my 2210. The thing here is...I got the deck used for $300..plus $250 for the attachment kit. They wanted $1450 for the deck and attachment hardware.

I think that most of the implements for most of the JD's small tractors will interchange. The problem seems to be the attachment kits.

BTW..as far as knocking down 60' Alder...I just run the bucket up to eye level, push 'em down, drop the bucket to flatten them and...if neccessary, use the ripper to cut the roots, then bucket them out. If anyone has any questions as to how I pull stumps, please inquire.

Many of the atatachments from the Deere lawn mowers will fit onto the 2210 series tractors. The same as the X series will also do this. To take down a 60' alder tree with your 2210 is quite a feat. ....

May i recomend to use a bigger tractor to push the tree over, at least cut the root on the opposite side to make it fall over easyer. Power isn't the problem, its the weight of the 2210. ....

Itsgottobegreen..I do that on some of the tougher ones. I use the single blade ripper or sometimes just dig on one side with the FEL. Once the tree starts leaning it just gets easier and easier. ....

I have a 2210 with a 455 two stage blower ,51" broom 54" blade.I also have a befco tiller, agrimetal bm 200 3 pt leaf blower and a john deere 31 post hole digger with a 9" auger. They all work fine with this tractor. The post hole digger was not reccomended by my dealer, but for the 100.00 dollars i shelled out for it i gave it a try. There is a bm kit number for the snowblower. The kit makes it so the hydraulic lines can be mounted on the otherside of the tractor. You have to drill a hole on the opposite side of where the lines come out now. There is a bm kit to attach the quick hitch from the x series too. ....

Stalker..I am going to order the 51" broom from JD dealer this winter. I've searched far & wide for a broom but the JD broom is the least expensive ($2K without the quicktach). 3 questions: does it fit the quicktach for the blower, how long do the brushes last & have you tried de-thatching with it? Dealer sez the quicktach is compatible and that saves me $500 if it does. ....

Wildman, The quick attach works for the blower, the broom, and the blade. The broom I purchased this year. It worked great, as long as you put it at the highest setting and use the float position. ....

That's good to know, Breadboy. I was told by my dealer that they drop the broom to where the brush just starts to touch the pavement and sweep at that height. He said that if it's lowered all the way the brush gets worn out fast.

Have you ever used the broom to de-thatch your grass? If so, how'd it do? ....
